Python Job: Junior Python Developer

The role:
We are looking for a junior python developer to join our growing team, working on making our code base more robust and scalable. This role is for someone who is just starting out professionally but who is already comfortable with python programming and the basics of working with data and systems. You will be supported by more experienced developers and will be given the opportunity to develop your own experience and skills in product development. A large part of our processes involves the analysis of social media data and so there will be scope to develop skills in natural language processing and other data skills.

Skills and experience required:

§ Computer science graduate or STEM graduate with demonstrable programming component (or equivalent work experience)
§ Python programming
§ Programming fundamentals like Object Oriented Programming
§ SQL for fetching and storing data
§ Git for version control
§ Command-line /shell script environments
§ Collaborative and good communicator

Additional skills that we look for include:
§ Cloud deployment
§ Fetching and storing data via API
§ Basic web languages like HTML, CSS and Javascript
§ Data-focused python packages like Pandas
§ Any knowledge of handling, cleaning, processing text (or images) with python.

Salary: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
